More animals

Nap time.

Another favorite pasttime...in front of the fire. She has also taken over the princess pet bed that the cat won't use which we put next to the fireplace. Only problem is that it's a bit top heavy so when you lean on one side, the whole thing topples over as she has found out.

Roxi was feeling left out. They are progressing in their relationship. The thrill of the chase is still a problem, but we're working on it. Doesn't help that Kitty eggs Minnie on. At that point, Kitty deserves it. She definitely knows when Minnie is in her crate and when she's not.

Minnie and her pal

This is Emma, Katie from work's 5 year old, who has also become Minnie's new best friend. She is our token kid socializer who is teaching Minnie all sorts of new and fun tricks, like how to bite ears and how much fun it is to race and leap after her.

Yes, that is a kid in a cage. Our newest form of discipline. Actually, that's the setup behind my desk at work which is Minnie's playpen with a crate attached (not in the picture). Emma crawled in to take a nap with Minnie while she was visiting her mom.

Minnie has learned that Emma will most likely tire out faster than she will so she races around, but then sits and waits for Emma to run back.

Our Future Prize Fighter

This makes me laugh everytime. Listen for the bark...it sounds like a bird. And no, I didn't teach her this one.

Animal Planet

Well, our lives have been very full with animal stuff. It's like the regular old Animal Planet/Discovery channel around here. Complete with rain as well..thus the new rain gear that Minnie is sporting..or hating.

"I am so ashamed."

Like the kitchen, she quickly found the main heat source in the living room and passed out next to it. No need for the leash. (she has finally discovered that there IS another animal in the house and it's fun to chase)
The animals meet...it's like the animal kingdom in your own bedroom. Minnie licked Roxi after they smelled each other and she recoiled as if disgusted.

"what are you?"

Hopefully they will learn to become friends...they're the same size. Minnie is definitely gaining weight and getting bigger. She went to work 2x this week and has become the office favorite, accidentally wandering into the partner's office after going the opposite direction down the hall. She jumped in his lap. OOPS. Luckily, this partner didn't mind a wet dog tongue. More pictures soon of the doggy day care set up.

Minnie Talks & Sleeps

The heat seeker is at it again...belly crawl under the cabinent. It's going to be a rude surprise when that no longer works, i.e. the belly is too big!

Listen for the little bark...she's working on her roar. Very intimidating.

New Things

Ah...the sweater. Thinking she was cold (i mean who parks themselves in front of the heater and doesn't move for hours?) I bought a sweater. But little miss thing wouldn't move her joints when the sweater was on so that didn't last long. Stiff legs...makes it hard to potty.

I'll say one thing...bostons are definitely wash and wear. In 5 minutes after this, she was dry. Not a big fan though. Loved the cuddle afterwards in the towel.

And the collar.."i hate my collar." She kicks at it a lot, and even mid run will attempt a scratch kick and fall over. It's much to exciting to play and waste time to stop and scratch. But, she looks like a girl..i was tired of everyone calling her a he. So, Eric picked out a sparkly pink collar.
