Minnie's weekend adventure at Matt's

Minnie got to stay with Matt and Abby at the Casey.....fancy. And on his new couch an break in his new rug...

This is Minnie on Matt's lap.

Too much party

Sleeping on her head and sideways.........she slept like this for over an hour. Must have been exhausted from the weekend's events.

Minnie Free Day

A friend from work volunteered to take Minnie for the day so she had a play date with Abby the pug/boston and Eric and I headed out to Mt.Hood for a great day.

Mt.Hood Winery switched to Wy'East Vineyards but the wine is still our favorite and they have a great deck to sit out on.

We were hoping to do u-pick lavender but a frost killed the first buds.

We crossed over the bridge into Washington for a new adventure...the nice thing was we didn't have to pay sales tax there either b/c we were from Oregon!

Eric made a friend at one of the wineries.

Sunset on the water.

Official in Oregon

Yes, I finally took the driving test 10 months later and after sweaty palms the whole time, I am now officially an Oregonian, as is my car.

Minnie Recovery

We had a slow start to the recovery process from surgery, but after 2 days she is back to herself. Kitty wasn't sure what happened...she could actually get close to Minnie without getting eaten. Minnie was pretty out of it for 2 days, and we rushed her back to the vet for fluids and pain medication. She still has to keep pretty low key (yeh right...try to keep this dog still) for a week to let the stitches heal.

Minnie has a cold

I've never heard of this but she has her first cold. Snotty and crusty eyes galore complete with bloodshot pupils. Looks like rabid dog....she can clear an elevator very quickly. She's sleeping a lot and wanting to sit in your lap.

Because of this though, her surgery has been postponed until May 16th. I'm reluctant to postpone it much more b/c she's at 7 months with her 4 canines completely in.

St. John's and Cathedral Park

We were beginning to lose all hope of ever seeing sunshine. I swear if I hear one more time, "it's never like this" I'm going to poke an eye out.

But, we got a break in the weather and went out to St. John's and Cathedral Park. It's called that b/c it's directly under the St. John's bridge and the bridge supports look like the old Cathedral structures. It's also right on the Willamette River and we watched all the boats go by.

Well, we're off to bike ride. Minnie has some draining eye thing that I'm going to leave her at home. Benadryl isn't working so we're going to head into the vet tomorrow. Friday is her big surgery day.....
