Laundry Pile Sleeper

Eric caught Minnie in the midst of wrapping herself up in my freshly washed white sweater. She was settling in for a long snooze. Pretty funny...

Snowshoeing Mt. Hood

Well we left Minnie with Matt and Abby for a fun doggy weekend and Eric and I headed up to Mt. Hood to try some snowshoeing. The pain from the last time evidently had faded in my mind enough to attempt it again. I thought I was being smart and picked a shorter trail with a nice trek to Mirror Lake. No one said the lake was up trail 2 miles. A very steep 2 miles.

The end of our trip. Note who is behind taking the pictures. Eric was a good 1/4 mile ahead on the way up and back. I need to get back in shape.

There was supposed to be a beautiful view of Mt. Hood but the fog had rolled in. I didn't even know we had made it to the lake.

This was the start of our adventure, crossing a footbridge over the rushing Sandy River. I still was optimistic at this point.

Eric in his new dri-fit gear underneath. Need to try that stuff. Though it was funny when steam rose from his back....

Mickey

We went to the big dog show on Sunday - The Rose City Classic where all the purebreds were being shown. Minnie's breeder was nice enough to get us free passes. We got to see Minnie's brother, Mickey show in the boston terrier group. (Mickey was the one that was VERY glad to see Minnie when we dropped her off this summer...he gave her a humping greeting and was glad not to be the smallest anymore.)

We also watched dog agility which was hilarious with the dogs - one pug took a poop in the middle of the course, and another schnauzer escaped out the side entrance.

Baron

We went over to spend some time with Baron, the 10 week old Bernese (and Carmen and Jason). Baron entertained us by sleeping and talking in his sleep while on his back.

Carmen and Jason are just beginning to come off the no sleep puppy nights...almost there!

Thanksgiving 2008!

Hey, better late than never. This was our international thanksgiving, 2mos ago. And I looked a lot better before we went on a hike up the hills of SW Portland.

In Memory

Now in doggie heaven, getting as many treats as possible. He will be missed. 6 years went by too fast. Love you Tanner. We all will miss you, even Minnie who stole your toys.
