A Day in the Sun

We found a new park at the point where the Columbia River (separating WA & OR) and the Willamette join up. Minnie joined us on a walk in the park as well as her first beach/water experience. She seemed to like smelling the sand much more than the water.

Disaster at the Office!

We had a very dejecting day....Minnie and me. Or maybe Minnie doesn't even know. I turned my head for a moment to answer a question at the same time a meeting (with all 3 partners in it) let out. The stars must have all decided to align at that same moment b/c Minnie felt very free....and the spirit moved her in many ways including to plant a turd or two on the floor at the feet of my boss(s). So far we haven't been asked to not come back so we're hoping that we can redeem our status as favorite office dog. Thank god she's little and cute b/c the turd so wasn't. What timing she has.

Also, we have the BIG surgery coming up....look for some cone pictures come May 9th...D-day. Or M-day. She has been growing TWO layers of teeth now as the baby ones aren't coming out so part of the surgery will involve some teeth pulling. I guess the little guys like to hang on to them a little longer. But her mouth kind of resembles jaws at the moment.

Locked Out!

Well, no pictures to document this hilarious (not so much for Eric) event. But Eric and Minnie managed to lock themselves out of the house on Tuesday during a not so warm day in Portland. They then walked a mile to the light rail station, rode the train with Minnie underarm, and showed up to camp out in the lobby of my office building while I did consumer focus groups. What an adventure. Minnie's first public transit experience...and hopefully her last.

Minnie and Yogurt

This is the highlight of my day at work. That's not saying much. I give Minnie my yogurt cup and it occupies her for a good hour or so. And she runs around with it in her mouth and bumps into things...she hasn't learned yet.
