So our white selves headed out to Sauvie's Island to pick some berries and ended up with 2 gallon raspberries and a gallon of blueberries, all for $14! They'll make some wonderful pies for 4th of July!
**Note the blue skies...yes, it is true, it is NOT raining here in Portland.
I am aware that I look like a farmer. I am trying to ward off sunspots and brownspots which have nicely showed up at the age of 30. Armed with SPF 50, I am ready for the sun.
Berry Man. He is very good at getting the tops of the bushes where no one else can reach.

The Girls
So Kitty has become my insomniatic pal, staying with me when I can't sleep and has decided that the fireplace is a great place to hang out. However, that is also the spot that Minnie claims during the day. And thus the fight and squabbling began (and biting, hissing, and clawing). The cat has refused to give up her spot and Minnie, like a little princess, has thrown a couple fits but has decided that it's better to share than go without.

Columbia Gorge Hike
One of the things I've wanted to do since I moved here was to hike in the Columbia River Gorge. So we headed out to the Horsetail Falls and took a picnic to stop along the way.
Eric and his trail dog.
Isn't she so cute?
Our trail dog lasted the entire 5 mile uphill hike with switchbacks. She collapsed afterward, but a tired dog is a good dog.
Behind the falls.

Oregon Coast - Part 2
We hiked along the coast to Cape Falcon overlook. HUGE trees the whole way.
We had to take a picture of the breakfasts. They were wonderful, brought to our room or to the terrace on the ocean.
Tide pools.
The view from the terrace.

Cape Falcon. We made it. After falling down the hill and hiking quite a while, we thought we deserved a massage.

Minnie at work (on my day off)
This is what my coworkers do with my dog when I'm not there. I think they know how to get my goat. We just have to tell my boss (who's not a HUGE dog fan) that minnie licked the coffee maker AFTER he gets his cup of coffee.
This is my desk. Note, Minnie's ears are flat, she knows she's not supposed to be up there.
Caffeinated boston, that's all we need.
